sacred land, Tulan

What a gift to have manifested such a precious and abundant location as Tulan. We've named this incredible location "TULAN" as it reflects a mythic garden paradise as part of an ancient Nahuatl/Uto-Aztecan legend. In many magical ways, an Eden-like oasis nestled in the clouds surrounded by 7 mountains.

Tulan is pure magic and abundance. We are 50 km's inland off the central Pacific coast on the Sierra Mountain range on "Cero San Juan", 3,000 ft above sea level overlooking the Pacific ocean (close to 800 acres). We have 2 underground water springs providing a source of fresh water to our space and the neighboring pueblo below. There are numerous areas for camping, super copious amounts of fruit including all types of citrus, papaya, mango, banana, also including thousands of Arabica coffee tree's and various avocados. The bio-region is a sub-tropical rainforest. During the time of the 7:7:7:7 gatherings (mid January) the climate is commonly semi-arid with hot sunny days with cool mountain nights and very little chance of rain.

There are Huichol families and communities living over every surrounding mountain. This is Wixarika territory, thankfully we have been blessed to have their ongoing support and participation for the past 7 years.

We have recently set forth efforts to register Tulan as a society to acquire non-profit status. From here we are also contemplating the formation of a council of 7, with 3 elders representing their values and interests and 3 of the youth reflecting similar ideals, with one neutral mediator. We feel once a non-profit status is achieved and we have our council, we can open a trust account and begin to move forward on future endeavors such as structural building and registering with the State of Nayarit as an educational facility and bio-reserve. When these parameters are in place we will begin to form a group of "members" who will essentially become the supporting body, and bring forth issues, proposal's, etc to the council for vote. Our intention is to create a real round-table council and our hopes are to eventually have a balance of 6 men and 6 women on the council. We will post the "vision and intention" of Tulan publicly to those registered as "members". Members include those who have attended 7:7:7:7 events and/or have shown an ongoing interest in the project. Members do not have to have a continual presence, they can participate online with forums and discussions, by offering donations/gifts to the project, by visiting on occasion and contributing physically, or perhaps by being an actual resident for an extended period of time.

We are asking for guidance and clarity in this next step in our process, many of us who have been investing a lot of energy both monetary and physical, some with plenty of sacrifice, are wishing for this. We are asking that the non-profit society, the council, the trust account and members group be established within the next few moons.

with gratitude for this experience,
Chris
